“Aileen is incredible! I have worked with trainers off and on for over 15 years. After a recent injury, PT wasn’t working for me and I was anxious to get back to the gym. Aileen not only took the time to learn about my injury and work through several different exercises, she also saved me from myself wanting to do too much, too fast. While most trainers say that they can work with injuries, it usually amounts to ‘working around’ whatever injury you have, not suggesting fixes or modifications. Aileen read and researched exercises to actually improve my problem, not just overlook it. Thanks to Aileen, I was able to return to a regular workout schedule and I continue to improve. She’s patient, funny, and relentlessly optimistic. If you’re looking for someone who can give you a killer, creative workout that you’ll have fun doing and will truly change your body for the better, look no further.”

“I’ve been dealing with a physical condition called ‘Diastasis Recti’, which is a separation of the abdominal muscles down the centerline. I’ve had lots of trouble finding anyone who knew anything about it. There’s lots of conflicting information on the internet, so that wasn’t much help. Doctors have told me that it occurs more often in women (during pregnancy) than in men, and that there was nothing I can do about it.
From the first session with Aileen, it was obvious that she does her research, and has had lots of experience helping both men and women with this condition. As I’ve continued to work with her, I’ve been so impressed with the care and attention she devotes to her work. She instructs me on the most subtle movements and positions. Sometimes, I don’t know how she can spot the tiny errors in my position when I don’t even see or feel them myself. Aileen is a master at targeting very specific parts of my body for strengthening, flexibility, or relief of strain.
In just over a month of meeting with Aileen weekly, and applying her coaching to my regular workouts, I’ve achieved what I was unable to on my own: I’ve almost completely closed the separation in my abdominal muscles. Working with Aileen, I know that I benefit not only from our half hours together, but from all the additional time she must spend on her own doing research and improving her skills as a practitioner. I know that if I continue to follow her coaching, and her very specific guidance, I’ll continue to make improvements.”— Tom S.
“I was concerned about working virtually on an issue that is so physical. Using the tech tools you’ve incorporated, I felt like you were practically there with me in the room. Also your videos were extremely helpful. I would highly recommend your services to anyone! “

“I like that the work-outs are a progression that incorporate good form and make sure that I am understanding the purpose of each move.”

“Aileen helped by directly targeting my areas of weakness that I didn’t even know were causing my pain and discomfort while running. I was able to actually feel my body using the ‘right’ muscles once they were strengthened.”

“I was worried that nothing would change for me or that working with a coach wouldn’t ‘work’. You helped me to increase the number of days per week I was running which is already a change, and understand that my body is changing/responding to the stimulus even if I can’t feel the change right away. I like feeling like the things I am doing are fitting into a larger plan; it has helped me feel more motivated and in control in this crazy time.”

Aileen and Meg are rockstars, and runners of any fitness level can benefit from their coaching. They break everything down into easily digestible units and go above and beyond to provide well-researched and carefully planned programs for clients. I’ve been a semi-serious runner for nearly a decade and teach barre classes so consider myself pretty dialed into a lot of the big components of proper strength training and nutrition. I was still blown away by how much I learned from their 60 day beginner program. They provide creative training suggestions in terms of scheduling, meal planning, you name it, so whatever your schedule you can adapt their training to your lifestyle. Whether you are looking to fix a specific area of weakness, recover from injury, or just looking for a better way to stay on track and accountable, they can provide you all the tools you need to achieve those goals. I’ve used them for individual training and now some group coaching programs for the community aspect and will continue to use them as my running goals and focus continue to adapt and change.

I have been fortunate to work with Aileen from both and running and strength training capacity for the past 12 months. She has made home workouts so much more accessible and enjoyable. She is incredibly patient at working to ensure my form is good. This allows me to maximize the workouts and prevent injury. The workouts we have done have built an solid baseline to support my regular runs both on road and trail.
As a running coach, Aileen is accommodating but insightful. She knows when to push and challenge me but also understands how to work around scheduling issues. She has helped me find ways to improve my running using a mix of speedwork, tempo runs, and easy runs. If you are looking for a committed, caring, and well rounded coach – Aileen is the person for you!

Highly recommend GSRS. I worked with Aileen for strength and mobility training. She worked with me to build a consistent and achievable work out routine that helped me to feel comfortable and confident. Best of all it has helped with my tennis game. I have noticed increased mobility on the court and faster serves and returns. I highly recommend her for any level of fitness- even if you are not a runner like me 🙂

Aileen and Meg are incredible women who have taught me so much about running and all the things that impact it – from nutrition to recovery to strength training and everything in between. The information they provide is so helpful and honest (and often quite funny). They are so generous with their knowledge too (and the amount of said knowledge amazes me). You can tell they are both so passionate about what they do and they really just want to help everyone they work with. I love that they have helpful instructional videos to go with all the recommended exercises they provide. They even encourage you to film yourself so they can give you feedback on what you’re doing right and what you can improve on! I learned about different types of movements and why they are all important. I learned about running drills (which are actually quite fun!). I learned about the importance of proper hydration and recovery. And I learned that you can achieve any goal you have if you are focused and committed. They have really taught me so, so much with patience, kindness, and humor. I would highly recommend this program to anyone – whether you’re completely new to running, do multiple marathons every year, or somewhere in between. Aileen and Meg would have plenty to teach you and will make you a better runner along the way.

I needed a flexible, knowledgeable trainer to help get me back after baby #2. I had some hip and core instability, running was painful. I didn’t know where to begin on my own. However, I did not have enough time working full time with 2 kiddos, 1 being a newborn, to go to the gym. Aileen is exactly what I’ve needed! She is very flexible, has hours throughout the day and week, including early morning and late night! A mom herself, she understands! I feel ZERO judgement about what I’ve been able to do or not do! And she doesn’t mind at all having an interruption from a kid. Honestly, I couldn’t ask for more! And on top of all of that, I’m PP 4.5 months and I can sprint again without pain!!!
